What the app stores, and where
The app stores names, phone numbers you type, amounts, dates, due dates, rates, payments and your settings only in the app’s own storage on your phone. Due-date reminders are made on the phone itself, with no server.
We have no server. We do not receive, see, sell or share your records.
The only permission the app asks for is notifications, and only when you turn on a due-date reminder. The app does not ask for permission to read your contacts, photos, files, location or phone number. You type names and phone numbers by hand.
Backups
Backup file: when you tap Save backup, Android asks you where to save the file. The file holds the names and phone numbers in your book. It is plain JSON and is not protected by a password. Keep it somewhere safe, and share it only with people you trust.
Android Auto Backup: if backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android may copy the app’s book to your Google account. Google stores this backup in encrypted form. You control it in your phone’s settings.
Sharing: when you share an account statement, you choose the app it goes to, such as WhatsApp. That app’s own privacy policy then applies. Call and WhatsApp: when you tap them, the phone number goes to your phone’s dialer, or to WhatsApp, or to WhatsApp’s website in your browser if the app is not installed. Their privacy policies then apply.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The app shows one banner ad, only under the calculator answer. The app never shows ads in your book, in statements or on the first-run screens.
Google AdMob serves the ad. Google collects device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), app interactions, diagnostic data and approximate location (from your IP address). Google uses this data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
Before any ad loads, the app shows Google’s consent form where the law requires it. Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
Ads need the internet. Your records are never sent with an ad request.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks.
Children
Vaddi Book is not directed at children. It is meant for adults who keep records of money.
How to delete your data
All your data is on your phone, so you can delete it at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
